No words, loved this. 3-5 really is the most hideous time!

you make the middle look AND feel like the beginning. which is a very romantic compliment

this is reminiscent of andrew garfield's "she was like a shot of espresso" ... which is to say that it is a PERFECT compliment, ty <3

“It’s just that the adrenaline of beginnings and endings can leave me breathless and I don’t like listening to the sound of my own breathing.”

This line was so beautiful!! I relate to a lot of what you’re saying here. Interestingly, I’ve always been enthralled by the beginnings, steady in the middle, and rubbish at endings. I cut clean or not at all and don’t look back. Maybe you’ve inspired a future post… 🤔

But seriously, loved this so much!

such a beautiful perspective!! I’m the same - sometimes to the point of purposely ending things just to have a new beginning. there’s nothing like that fresh-legged feeling.

actually genius to inject a little sartorial fun into average days. it’s just so hot that I’m uninspired… I’ll try harder

to get myself through the middle hours, I like making a list of fun things I want to do (a bucket list of sorts) and then texting all the people I’ve been MEANING to reach out to to see if they want to do them with me

ooh I love the idea of texting the people I've been meaning to! as a notorious 2-weeks-later texter, this would be so helpful for me

I am not very good at beginnings and endings, I usually opt to smell the roses or buy snacks or enjoy the golden light hours (3-5) so reading this, for me, helps me to cherish the before and after. Love a fresh perspective 🌷

it brings me so much comfort to know that people are able to enjoy the inbetween and is a good reminder that it is nothing to be afraid of :)

loved this and very much relate. lately have been loving going outside every chance i get to make the mundane a lil more quietly awe-inspiring idk (doing my work shift on my balcony, 15 min walk on my lunch break, biking instead of taking the bus).

This hits close to home and couldn't come at more right time <3

I adore your way of describing things and the in-betweens.

I'm very bad at the middle part as well but all of your sentences feel like exciting beginning until I didn't realized I've reached the ending!

I could not relate less to being good at goodbyes but I adore your ooey gooey way of stringing together a story. And although you may be in the middle bit, the whole thing is still reading very hello/new city/fresh voice to me <3
