i don’t think so— i think we form an ideal version of ourselves/what we want our life to look like based on our unique experiences. for example, my desire to live abroad (i believe) is from parents who really value traveling & a childhood full of reading about distant places, not because i was just born that way. curious to know what you think!!
I just understand fate as driving everything. From the family we're born in to the opportunities that present themselves. I'm just unsure where to draw the line on fate, but it could very well be deciding everything. I use to hate that concept because I thought: what's the point of being a hard worker, if everything's written? But now I find some relief in thinking that fate will take care of writing the things that are out of my control...and I feel like the family you're born in, is one of them. Thoughts??
Such an interesting perspective! I’ve always seen fate as a form of being in control. For me, not experiencing those ‘kismet’ moments feels like being ‘off path’ and, in turn, out of control. But I can see how fate could also be interpreted as random, uncontrollable events happening to you rather than for you because you’re aligned with your purpose—whatever you’ve decided that purpose shall be.
Don't you think that your decision on what life story to write for yourself is driven by fate? <3

Makes me ponder 💭
Loved this, Evie! I think I agree with you. Life is about the choices you make. Curious what you think about random chance, chaos and luck.... :)
