Evie firstly thanks I’m going to pick a few of these this year I’m a slow reader compared to you. How do you do it?? Secondly do you know the Hungarian writer László Krasznahorkai? I’ve been reading his collection of short stories Seiobo There Below and it’s remarkable. I’d love to know your take, if you have one. 😊🧧HNY!
to be honest I’m not usually one for short stories, but once I adjusted to the rhythm of the book — quick and sharp — I enjoyed it. just like you said, it felt so effortless. my favorite story was the one about the girl born by the river.
Good Job Evie!! I am really impressed. You must be a very fast reader and I hope you keep up this great hobby. I remember reading “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” way back when it was first published. Maybe I will look and see if the movie is still on Netflix.
Bookmarking (if you’ll pardon the pun) this for my reading this year. I love Dolly Alderton too - she’s just so cool and so cool to read. And as a Brit, I love that you love how we talk 😂 I’ll defo be putting the Anthony Bourdain book high on my list. On the off chance you haven’t read it, I think you’d love Heartburn by Nora Ephron (food, love, humour - what more could a girl want?!)
Evie why not listen to my music for free on sound cloud it’s meditative and uplifting songs…
